Ambitious Plans

 

Fun trip to the fancy garden center yesterday with my sister!

 

I have ambitions to turn this narrow strip by the pool into a lush and productive herb and vegetable garden, and maybe some grape vines clinging to the fence?

So I got lots of seeds and different varieties of thyme to start:

Then I checked the temperature this morning:

Maybe I'll wait a few days!

Also spotted at the garden center:  COOL ROCKS!

I couldn't resist a few Belgian blocks of granite to finish off 

the walkway over my drainage ditch by the side door...
